The more than 10,700 SCPS graduates are an impressive group: inspirational examples of people overcoming barriers to achieve their dreams. SCPS alumni are in almost every imaginable profession. Many go on to attend and graduate from business or law school. Most progress in their careers or move into new fields. Others build skills for a satisfying retirement. They are part of the family of DePaul alumni whose connections are fostered through the
Office of Alumni Relations.
In 2020, 94% of SCPS undergraduates were employed, continuing their education or pursuing other goals within six months of graduation; the median salary was $92,000.

Double Demon Scholarship
SCPS alumni who are admitted into a graduate degree or qualifying certificate program are eligible for the

- Miguela Advento (SCPSMA ’96) appointed corresponding secretary of Chicago’s Philippine Independence Week Committee.
- Glenn Allison (SCPS ’06) named to Nashville Business Journal’s list of 40 Under 40. He is VP of enterprise architecture & IT solution delivery for Tractor Supply Co., the largest rural lifestyle retailer in the US.
- Candace Anderson (SCPS ’12, SCPSMA ’15) is director of operations for Depaul USA in Chicago, a nonprofit that partners with DePaul University to help students facing homelessness.
- Gloria M. Batey (SCPS ’99, SCPSMA ’15) named to the Chicago Defender list of Women of Excellence 2016. She is the practice area director of organizational change management and training for the William Everett Group, a technology consulting firm in Chicago.
- Myisha L. Boulware (SCPS ’14) launched the free app Save Our Students, which allows students to anonymously report bullying.
- Juan C. Buitron (SCPS’12) is immediate consumption regional manager for the Dr. Pepper Snapple Group in Indianapolis, IN.
- The Hon. Anne M. Burke (SCPS’ 76, DHL'05) named to Make It Better magazine's list of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Chicago. Among her achievements, Burke has been both a teacher and special counsel for child welfare. In 2006, she was appointed to the Illinois Supreme Court First District.
- Gianluca Buttice (SCPS’15) founded Madrelingua Italiana, a language learning and travel service based in Chicago. Previously, he taught Italian at Language Loop and Berlitz and interpreted for business clients.
- Kelly Cruse (SCPS ’07) is managing director and analyst at McDonnell Investment Management LLC.
- Lori L. Danella (SCPS’05) elected a Midwest regional director of the board of the directors for the School Nutrition Association. She is the nutrition coordinator for Lee’s Summit R-7 School District in Lee’s Summit, MO.
- Dynette A. Davis (SCPS’09) is founder of Dymensions Educational Consulting LLC in Dallas, which offers support for educators, parents and students as well as growth and development opportunities.
- Sandra A. Davis (SCPS’ 77) named 'Most Inspiring Woman in Comms" at Light Reading's Leading Lights awards. Davis is chief information officer and executive vice president at Zaya Group LLC.
- Brian Dempsey (SCPS ’08) is fire chief in Seaside, CA.
- Jacob B. Eisen (SCPS ’08) is managing director of the regional and community banking group at Maxim Group LLC, a full-service investment banking, securities and wealth management firm.
- Laura J. Ehrke (SCPSMA’01) published her debut novel, “Punk Charming, under the pen name Laura Quinn. Ehrke, an avid traveler, infuses the romance storyline with her own experiences abroad.
- Scott W. Falconer (SCPS ’11) studied the ecological, cultural and spiritual landscapes of the Western Ghats, a mountain range in Indian as part of the Earth Expedition Global Field program at Miami University in Oxford, OH.
- Becky Graham (SCPS ’96) published “Faithful: An Unexpected Journey to Motherhood,” chronicling her experience with infertility treatments in the context of her faith.
- Marlene Grandinetti (SCPS ’90) was installed as pastor of Falls Community Church in Sheboygan Falls, WI.
- Terrilyn S. Hogan (SCPS ’00) recently published a children’s book, “I Want to Be a Dolphin.” She is pursuing a Master’s in secondary education in the College of Education.
- Paddy Homan (SCPSMA ’13) presented his one-man show “I am Ireland’ which honored the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Easter Rising in Ireland.
- Scott O. Johnson (SCPSMA’ 92) is executive director of St. Ann's Residence, a senior assisted and independent living community in Duluth, MN.
- Sr. Sophie A Lado (SCPS’ 09) helped establish the first American apostulate of the South Sudanese Sisters of the Sacred Heart of Jesus congregation in Phoenix. She is the local superior and also serves as director of religious education for children at St. James parish in Glendale, AZ. Lado most recently worked with women seeking self-sufficiency in South Sudan and Sudan.
- Broadway investor and producer Cody Lassen (SCPS ’06) saw his musical "Spring Awakening" nominated for three Tony Awards.
- Kathleen Lihanda (SCPS’ 13) created My Internship Finder app for early career professionals to find opportunities, access career advice and get discovered by employers. The free app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store.
- Eric L. Manion (SCPS’ 12) earned his MBA with honors from Indiana Wesleyan University. and is working toward his DBA.
- Jose Martinez (SCPS’ 93) joined TalentRISE, an executive search and recruitment outsourcing firm, as managing director.
- Jenny McCoy (SCPS ’07) used her degree to jumpstart a food writing career.
- Zoaib Mirza (CDM MS'04, SCPSMS ’09, SCPSMA’ 10), director of innovation, academic technology and multimedia at DeVry Educational Group received the SLATE Star award from the local Supporting Learning and Technology in Education (SLATE) organization.
- Zachary Mucha (SCPS ’04) published "Emotional Abuse: A Manual for Self-Defense." He is a psychotherapist in private practice in Chicago and a clinical associate faculty member of the Chicago Center for Psychoanalysis.
- Doug Murphy (SCPS ’96) named director, programs and instruction at Moody Distance Learning.
- Denise O’Brien-Peterson (SCPS ’03) joined Citi Retail Services as a partner manager. She recently published her memoir, “Journey up the Gravel Path” chronicling her experience as a new mother diagnosed with a brain tumor.
- Jennifer J. Panattoni (SCPS ’12) promoted to director of business development at LCI Brands in Elk Grove Village, IL.
- Mary E. Pettinato (SCPS ’93) is CEO and co-founder of Honor Flight Chicago, which brings veterans to Washington DC for a day of honor and rembrance at no cost to them.
- Timothy A. Phistry (SCPS ’07) ordained a priest of the Old Catholic Church.
- Penny Pollack (SCPS ’07), recently retired as long-time dining editor of Chicago magazine, reflects on her career in food.
- Patricia Puetz (SCPS ’01, Med’05) named principal at Henking Elementary School in Glenview IL.
- Richard L. Rampage (SCPS ’90, JD’95) appointed administrative judge with the U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board.
- James M. Robinson (SCPS ’80) is a mentor with SCORE Association in Savannah GA. As a mentor, he helps guide new and established businesses. He is a partner in the Savannah office of New York Life Insurance Co.
- Juan Rodriguez (SCPS ’05) is a residential loan officer in the Glendale, WI office of Bank Mutual. He has more than 28 years of experience in the banking and mortgage industry.
- David L. Rossi (SCPS ’14) is senior vice president of marketing and retail sales at Dollarmur Sports Surfaces, manufacturer of sports flooring based in Fort Worth, TX.
- Christopher Sachs (SCPS ’11) interviewed in the Chicago Tribune on his journey from auto mechanic to SEO expert through earning his SCPS degree.
- Patricia A. Simon-Gustin (SCPS ’10) is a member of the Naperville (IL) City Council.
- Kevin Spires (SCPS ’98) promoted to senior vice-president of risk practices at Hylant Group Inc. in Toledo, OH, where he leads risk practice areas including property, marine, global risk, casualty, environmental, executive risk, aviation, property risk control, surety and claims.
- David T. Stanton (SCPS ’97) re-elected group director of the Community Bankers Association of Illinois. He is president, CEO and vice chairman of PeopleFirst Bank in Joliet, IL.
- Sanja R. Stinson (SCPS ’03) named to the Chicago Defender list of Women of Excellence. She is founding CEO and executive director of Matthew House Chicago, a daytime emergency and supportive care center for the homeless, and founding pastor of Victory & Grace Christian Church in Chicago.
- Shannon Stone-Winding (SCPS ’14) joined the board for the Chicago chapter of the National Association of African-Americans in Human Resources where she serves as vice president for programs and professional development. She is president and CEO of Shannon Stone Consulting LLC.
- Sabina Tassone (SCPS ’14) co-founded PraxiCut, which aims to reduce medical errors by creating safe accessible teaching models for training residents and surgeons.
- Catherine Terpstra (SCPS ’03) appointed president of the board of directors of the Mainstreet Organization of Realtors.
- Susan Trieschmann (SCPS ’07) honored as a distinguished alumna by Oakton Community College. She founded Curt’s Cafe in Evanston, Ill., wheres he provides workforce and life-skills training for at-risk youth. Previously, she was head of catering at Chicago’s Pump Room and founder of Food for Thought, the third-largest caterer in Chicagoland.
- Mark Tuchscherer (SCPS ’16), CEO of Geeks Chicago, featured in Fit Small Business’ “Top 10 best Management Styles – and Which Ones to Avoid.”
- Angela L. Underwood (SCPS ’96) published the book "Vessel of Steel: Reaching Your Highest Potential." She is founder and CEO of FinGIve, which provides financial education.
- Donald V. Versen Jr. (SCPS ’98) named chief operating officer of Novus Law LLC, a global legal services firm based in Chicago. He is responsible for leading the firm's client services and technology solutions teams, as well as participating in strategic development.
- Tramaine Wells (SCPS ’15) appointed systems analyst of Northwestern University’s human resources information technology group, where he develops and builds enterprise applications. He has more than 15 years’ experience working in diverse industries, including finance, consulting and private higher education.
- Shelli A. Walters (SCPS ’08) is deputy chief of the Clermont Police Department in Florida. She previously served 27 years as police commander for the Altamonte Springs Police Department in the operations bureau.
- Sandra L. Weicher (SCPS ’12) is vice president of customer care for the western New England region of Comcast Cable.
- Judy A. Whitcomb (SCPS ’95) is senior vice president of human resources, learning and organizational development for Vi. The company operates 10 continuing care retirement communities across the country. Vi recently was ranked first in Sun-Sentinel's list of South Florida's Top Workplaces.
- Marisol Widmayer (SCPS ’05) is coordinator of Total Rewards and HR operations for the Chicago Cubs.
- Vincent Wiggins (SCPSMA ’07, EDD’15) was promoted to associate dean of instruction at Harold Washington College in Chicago.
- Crystal Williams (SCPSMA ’10) was recognized as a distinguished professional in her field by Women of Distinction magazine. she is founder and CEO of Family Hugs Inc. which provides health education and counseling services for parents.
