Vincentian Service Day, DePaul’s annual day of giving back to the Chicagoland area, is quickly approaching. Traditionally, over 1000 DePaul community members participate in service to 50+ community partners in and around Chicago. This year SCPS will provide service to Ginkgo Organic Gardens. In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of our school, faculty, staff and alumni have come together and filled all available spots! Watch for photos to be posted after the event.

Ginkgo Organic Gardens is a community pantry garden in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood. They employ sustainable agriculteral practices to grow heirloom varieties of fruits and vegetables. They donate their produce to organizations that serve people who strugglw with poverty and illness. Ginkgo originally donated the produce from its garden to a variety of service organizations, but eventually established a relationship with the Northside location of Vital Bridges, a multi-service center that helps people with HIV/AIDS in metropolitan Chicago.
