Biography
Dr. Kris May is currently the Director of Public Sector Customer Success at Pluralsight where she leads a team of customer success managers who implement workforce transformation strategies, develop upskilling/learning strategies, and create retention strategies for their customers. She also provides adult education consulting services for customers across the country. Previous to her career in EdTech, Kris worked for the University of Utah for almost 10 years where she led marketing, recruiting, student services, career services, and alumni relations for 2 of the university’s largest MBA programs. She also led the Women's MBA Association and the Part-Time MBA Career Advancement Center during her tenure at the university. She is wildly passionate about adult education, servant leadership, team development, and mentoring students.
Academically, Kris was recently recognized with a Top Paper award at the 2023 National Communication Association in the Media Studies division for her work related to the persuasive power of storytelling in health communication contexts.
Kris has a Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Utah, an MBA from Utah State University, and a PhD in Communication from the University of Utah. She has served on the board of the Rape Recovery Center in Salt Lake City and currently serves as Board President for the YWCA Vermont. Additionally, Kris serves in various volunteer mentorship programs for those looking to enhance their skills in customer success, leadership, or technology.
