Biography

Leyfane co-authored and published with faculty and peers.  She has presented on Black Genealogy, African centered-education, Brown v. Board of Education, Resiliency in the Urban African American Youth, Understanding Generational Differences and The Book of Revelations.  She successfully completed an advanced study of and application in the field of diversity and inclusion, earn certifications in content marketing, graphic designs, liberal learning and educating adults and received a Phi Kappa Phi Badge for the love of learning.  Leyfane has 21 years experience in higher education with previous work in healthcare administration.  Leyfane understands the needs and challenges of an adult learner as she experienced it first-hand.  Working full-time and being an adult student, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Media Communications and a Master of Arts in Educating Adults, Community Engaged-Learning, both from DePaul University's​ School of Continuing and Professional Studies.​
